Extract the downloaded firmware and move the firmware files to your SD card (Not the folder, but only the files inside the folder). Eject the memory card and insert it into your camera. Go to Menu, choose Setup Menu, and then tap on Firmware version. Tap on Update and press OK. Select Yes and then select OK.
Formatting memory cards permanently deletes any data they may contain. Be sure to copy any photographs and other data you wish to keep to a computer before proceeding ( 0 Copying Pictures to the Computer ). Highlight Yes. To exit without formatting the memory card, highlight No and press J. A message will be displayed while the card is formatted.
