The park uses the honor system and asks hikers to pay when the fee stations are open. The early bird gets the worm On Saturday and Sunday morning we woke up at 5am to get an early start on the trail.

Big Bend Ranch State Park (Interior)FWTX 33. This site is open daily, and developed camping is available at the site. An entrance fee or donation may be required. From FM 170 go 7 miles east of Presidio, turn north onto Casa Piedra Road. Go approximately 8 miles and bear right at the Y. Continue another 2 miles to the park entrance.

A $30 per vehicle entrance fee is required, or a $15 individual fee, (both good for seven days) unless you have a park pass. Fees and passes can be purchased at entrance stations. Commercial permits are required for businesses. and a special use permit may be required for some activities.

Entrance fees can be paid here. Exhibits provide an overview of geology & natural and cultural histories of the park. The visitor center also has a theater with a park orientation movie shown upon request.The visitor center complex includes a Big Bend Natural History Association bookstore, U.S. Post Office, and restrooms.
