Power Mechanist is a strong DPS Option on virtually all encounters in the game. It is fully ranged, has great self-sustain, great mobility, amazing Crowd Control, and access to decent self- Quickness, some group Might all while being very easy to pick up. Shift Signet is not only a long-range blink but can also be used as a Stun Break The classes I usually main are Necromancer, Warrior, Revenant, or Guardian. So I was wondering how Harbinger, Bladesworn, Vindicator, and Willbender stack up in PvE right now. I usually like to do all of the new stuff and spend a lot of time with the new elite specs. I'm sorry if this is seems like a lazy post but I have been on YouTube and Instance PvE - Guardian: You can do everything on a basic level, except stealth, superspeed and portals. But that is barely required to get the job done. sPvP - Not a big pvp player at the moment, but I heard catalyst and spellbreaker are very good right now. This can/will change very soon probably. WvW - Guardian. Depends what you mean by best. I range Ranger to be fairly good for OW farming and questing activities. Soloing champs and bounties not so much. Necro or Eng would be good paths if you like the Ranger playstyle. Probably a bit more on the active side of play but bringing more focused features to the table.
I like necro for asura. Your small in size, but you make up for that with stealing life force and controlling undead minions. For PvE I tend to go with a class that has blast finishers. The asura racial skill Radiation Field applies poison and weakness, and blast+poison equals even more weakness. The Norn-class.
Right now, you've got two classes that have a lot of state-switching abilities (kits and attunement, respectively), and can generally occupy DPS roles in PvE, and a mix of aggressive or support roles in WvW/PvP. There's one class where you really can't go wrong, and it's Guardian. It's a very versatile, powerful, and (usually) forgiving class. So I want to aks you guys what class/spec is best and fun for dungeons and fractals and even events arround the map and other pve thingsjust all round pve. Subjective. 4 minutes ago, vanbusse.4196 said: Just need al solid class/spec. Very good self-sufficient, but easy to play, classes include: Reaper (Necro) Scourge (Necro) All Ranger Specs. Ranger and necro are very similar to me in solo play pve. You can get a pet or minion on either class to act as a distraction/damage source and both classes are fairly tough and have decent health pools. Their high end play is quite different, but for just fiddling around in zones, similar assumptions. Team-play wise, rangers bring some very There's a lot of fluff about Scourge lately because its damage moved to ~2nd quartile on raid bosses from 4th and because it has consistent ranged cdps thats optimal for the toughest fractal (100 CM), but if we're talking all PVE (raids, fractals, strikes, open world meta, open world solo - all together) I wouldn't consider it remotely top-tier. Necro is good for casual raids but bad for speed runs. However since the meta is based on speedrunning strats, it can be hard to find accepting groups. For anything else PvE, necro is one of the best classes. For PvP you of course don't need to level it, but it is a very solid PvP class. Not over or under powered.

With the classes you will need to see. Most classes can be played in a pretty different way due to their 3 elite specialisations and builds. A scourge (necromancer) is a pretty decent pick for playing solo in my opinion, since they have lots of sustain with their barrier. That’s 2 suggestions for necromancer.
